My interest in medicine developed over 13 years of caring for my parents. While working at a major investment firm, I enrolled in the evening program of an acupuncture school to study Oriental medicine. Over 30 years ago, during my AuPair stay in France, the French host mother was studying acupuncture, and I learned that Oriental acupuncture and moxibustion were highly regarded in the West. This fueled my interest in Oriental medicine.
After experiencing the effects of acupuncture and moxibustion treatments for own rehabilitation from a road bike accident and for improving my flamenco dance performance, I was inspired by their effectiveness not only for musculoskeletal disorders but also for infertility, menopausal disorders, and lifestyle-related diseases. I decided to pursue acupuncture and moxibustion to support the health and happiness of myself and those around me.
After obtaining my national certification, I trained at an acupuncture clinic in Setagaya and then opened my own practice in Kagurazaka, my hometown.
Recently, I have also been participating in volunteer acupuncture activities such as the "Extreme Walk 100", walking events sponsored by Asahi Shinbun.
